Let's see some pic's of your SxS's & O/U's

My most important gun to me is my 1923 Parker Trojan given to me by my wife's great uncle on his 100th birthday. That fine old gentleman lived to be 1 month short of his 108th birthday.

Well it's been a while since i posted any gun pics and that is largely because I haven't been buying much or having anything restored. At least not anything that is back yet from my favoured gunsmiths. However, there have been some additions to the fold. I have four guns that are with gunsmiths right now and those should return to me over a timeline that extends out, I'm estimating, about two years. A couple have relatively minor things to be done.....stock refinish and/or barrel bluing.....and a couple require more extensive work including restocks......what fun!!

However, I do have something that I picked up 10 days ago that is good to go right now. It's a Lindner made Charles Daly Model 185 Featherweight in 12 gauge. A model 185 is the top grade before you get into Diamond Quality with all the game scenes. Dates to estimated 1908 and nearing the end of Lindner's time. Featherweights are among the rarest of Lindner Dalys and I was very happy to snag this one. It has 26" barrels and, true to its name, tips the scales at just 5 lbs 13 oz. Right now it has an expertly fitted wood extension on the stock, which generally I am not too keen on. But when this was done, the wood was carefully selected and is hardly noticeable. I am tossing around the idea of a leather covered pad to replace the wood extension. But I have enough guns off getting work done at the moment and this one is just fine as it is. Pics could be better.....waiting for the right day with the right light conditions.

Please excuse my dog's paw in the second pic.

Great fences, real style!

My latest addition or I guess I should say replacement as I moved a few others to acquire this little gem.
A 1928 Ithaca NID4E 16ga 2 bbl set. Both bbl sets are 26" with matching serial #'s.
Thanks to Cowtown Bill and CJ Dawe for the heads up on this one. They contacted me only a few hours apart when the owner told them both it was up for grabs as they both knew this would be of interest to me.

Good 'Nuff Guns.

Edit: I don't mean that disparagingly. I mean they're good enough. Better than good enough in Brybenn's hands and for many thousands of rounds.
While baikals are good enough what they lack in handling and elegance they make up for by rarely ever breaking or wearing out.
Over 85000 rnds thru my ij58 and I sold it for $25 less than I bought for. It was my main gun for everything for a solid decade. I ran a few 100 straight on the skeet fields and a 225 straight on trap with mine

However GNG prolly means great north gun
