The rifle is an 8x57 and yes he does. He shot his deer with it this year and the caliber did an awesome job. The gun is extremely fast handling and points like a shotgun. Equipped with express sites and is dead on with the norma ammo it was regulated for. The problem is trying to find a handload that will regulate in it. It is a dream to shoot.

Ladies and germs..

I'm more a military rifle type of collector, but after looking at the beautiful pieces of work in this thread, I think I'll have to get some of this action! :D

Wow, what wonderful wood, beautiful metal work, craftsmanship.. Gorgeous stuff folks..

Found a couple of pics of one of my favorites. It's a Belgian-made Pieper from between 1898 and about 1910 but I've had a hard time pinning down the exact year. Needed a little TLC when I first found it but it turned out alright. 6 lbs, 7 oz., 29" chopper lump barrels choked IC and Mod. with a Prince of Wales grip.

My current project is a Diana grade Pieper sidelock 12 gauge with Damascus barrels that really needed a new stock bad. Hope to be able to post a Heym 16 gauge shortly.

SxS's

Here's a couple of my favorites.
1st up my 1910 A.H Fox AE 12 ga 30"bbls Full/Imp mod, double triggers, ejectors, factory double ivory beads.

Next up a 1909 A.H.Fox Sterlingworth, 12ga 30"bbls choked Full/Full, recessed hinge pin action. The gun has about 20% blueing left the chambers have be lengthened to 3" and bbls back bored like a super Fox, and the butt stock is a replacement. All these features normally would exclude this gun from my collection but this is my plain old work horse for all weather waterfowling and turkey hunting. I shot both my turkeys this season with this gun on its 100th birthday.

Canvasback, that is a great looking Pieper. And 308, I had no idea that Buffalo made such nice looking sidelocks. Doubleman, those Foxes sure are nice. I've got two other than the AE 20 that I've already posted, a 1911 Sterlingworth extractor with 30" barrels and a 32" Sterlingworth ejector. Both in 12 gauge and fine shooters. I'll add one more that I had been lusting after for a long time. Mark Dube finally took pity on me and passed it on to me. Mark's posted a few photos of it before, but here it is again. Some of the photos were taken before the oil finish was refreshed. It is a 10 gauge and handles beautifully. It is marked J.L. Rawbone, Toronto, Canada, but it looks like it was made by Westley Richards. Thanks again, Mark.

MM, I bought a wack of 3 1/2" 12 ga. Kent Tungsten Matrix last year to tear down for the shot. I'll be loading that in short 10 for this one. Can't wait for goose season.

That is no doubt a Westley, the top lever is a 100% identification. Yours is nicer than most I have seen congrats on the new toy, look out geese come fall.

From left to right, shield with X is the Spanish admission proof for Eibar since 1931, crossed rifles with a 2 is the Spanish definitive black powder proof mark on shotguns 1929-31, BP in shield is the Spanish optional smokeless proof on shotguns since 1931, and the 850 kgs is the proof load.

Win/64, I can't imagine a classic gun thread that that Westley Richards trap wouldn't be welcome. I looked at that when you had it up for sale and strongly considered it.

proof marks

HI GROUSE MAN This is the picture of the proof marks of my Ugartechea. Look's the same except the first one to the left, what I think is the Ugartechea mark. The mark is on the barrels but not on the receiver. John
