Lets see some pics of your tactical shottys!

F22 - Thanks... checked the website provided. YIKES, $549 - $949 for these things? $400 sounded good, $549 is getting up there.

Nine - Thanks as well, I will get some quotes.

The more expencive ones are the "military" versions.

When i got mine it was 399.00 plus tax, but the $550 may be with a mount of you choice... Of course i did get mine over a year ago, so prices could have changed!

Nine, thanks for the update. When i was looking for them a year ago, EVERY single US and canadian company had an "out of stock" because the importer had gone tits up. Good to see they've got some more importers/retialers for them now!

It's not done yet. Want a light on the front, and a new "red dot" of some sort, not sure what exactly yet.

Thanks guys... I am also looking at the burris. (now)

I checked out the Fast Fire. Seems to be very similar to the Docter red dot sight except the Burris has an On/off switch (not needed)

The mount seems to be a little lower profile with is good.

Mr. Smoking hull:

I think the inclussion of some details are required.

If I had to guess:

-Late 70's early 80's Wingmaster prodcution
-probably 2.75" length chamber
-pre-flexi-tab
-Looks like a sportsman buttstock with an old style police short fore-end
-I am going to guess thats a 20" deer barrel with sights and a rem +2 ext
-no side saddle
- and a good looking sling. (where did you get that by the way)

Am I close

regards and all the best

Pretty good sir!

1973 WM, 2,75" receiver of course. Deer barrel is 3".
Also has an orange Choate follower. I installed the recoil pad and sling swivel myself.
Next step is refinish the stock ( it has a few scratches...) and possibly a Vang Jumbo head safety and it will be done.

The sling is homemade by the way;-)...really easy to do and cheap also!

take care

Mr. Smoking hull:

Well done sir!! Well done!!

If I might make a suggestion, if your going to do "VangComp" anything in Canada, you will be chatting with Casey over at TacOrd (a very nice guy I might add), and while ordering a VangSaftey, I would replace the choate follower for a "Geen" vang comp one.

Further, I would also be inclinde to chat with him about have the gun adapted for the Flexi-Tab system. This might be a little pricy, but its well worth the $'s spent.

I installed the recoil pad and sling swivel myself.

Well done. If I may ask which recoil pad did you use. I have a nice looking police wood stock, that is in need of a good recoil pad.

regards and all the best

AbHobbyist: it's a run of the mill Pachmayer, I don't remember the exact model number. Found on sale at LeBaron a while back ago.

your comments about the Vang Comp parts are noted, we'll see the budget says...!

F22_RaptoR, I love your MESA 8 shot holder !

Thanks! it was definatly worth the $ :D

Plus 1 about anything from Tactical Ordnance! Casey is one of the coolest guy's i've EVER done business with! i have a breacher and threaded choke adaptor on its way from him! I dont think i've ever talked to (or emailed) anyone so good with returning emails and answering questions! :D

Tactical Ordinance 870

TacOrd870P.jpg

-NIB Remington 870 Police, sent to Arwen Ace/ Tactical Ordinance for overhaul.
Details: Entire firearm and parts were stripped, reparkerized and black teflon coated, 14" barrel replaced the factory 18" barrel and the following additions made.
870PCustom007.jpg

Surefire 618FA, Vang Comp +1 extension, LPA front sight. White light, extra ammo and accurate delivery were all mandatory.

870PCustom003.jpg

Vang Com porting, forcing cone lengthened (not pictured obviously). Better patterns and lower recoil, who can argue with that except the guy shooting next to you.

870PCustom002.jpg

LPA rear sight, 1913 rail and Vang Comp Jumbo Safety. I went with the LPA sight in order to fine tune the gun with my preferred slug, the Winchester Ranger low recoil. The Vang safety as I was not satisfied with the SGT Big safety I had used before. The 1913 rail...I got nothing here except CDI factor.

870PCustom005.jpg

Mesa side saddle, totally superior to any other side saddle, bit of overkill.

870PCustom.jpg

Stainless extra reliability follower and spring kit.

870PCustom006.jpg

Hogue 12" stock as I shoot with armour and am only 5'8", and the most important piece and dare I say the lynch pin of the whole operation, the Bad Boy Beeson Rear Side sling adapter. I figure I can go either single point or two point when used with the front sling adapter.

The work here is amazing, Casey did an awesome job. I have had many Tactical Shotguns including an original Scattergun Technologies Professional Model, while they were all great however nothing beats the workmanship from Arwen Ace and being able to spec. the gun yourself. I cannot wait to shoot it, there are a couple of phonetic alphabet types who have to run me through some Fighting Shotgun drills. Enjoy the pics, I have to get back to fondling her.

ray thats a very good looking shotgun!!!!

Thanks Simon, I cannot say enough about Casey and the way he does business. This Shotgun went from emails to phone calls to my sending him a receiver, then there were many changes along the way based on feedback from guys with way more shotgun time than me and my own experiences along the way. At no time was Casey too busy to talk to me. The whole experience was great.
