Remington 870 Express Super Magnum
- 18.75" barrel threaded for RemChokes
- Hi-Viz front and rear sights
- ATI (ya ya, I know, ATI sucks) pistol grip stock

I have a "+2" mag extension as well for it, but I kinda like the look of it better without. It shoots slugs into one hole at 50 yds with the IC choke, busts trap clays all day long with the IM choke, and can kill a turkey out to 50+ yds with the extended extra full choke.

So does that qualify as tactical? It's kinda on the simple side, but I like it.

Out of the box I don't think there are many combat/defence style shotguns that can compare. The Fabarms scream of quality, and are very light and smooth. I added the recoil pad spacer as I am a big guy and needed a little more length of pull. The SP sling and mount are gravy. In short I love it.

The only thing I don't like is the long forearm rubs the receiver when cycled leaving marks in the finish. And since I like to grab near the rear of the pump, it seems to make it worse. But that is a relatively minor problem in the scheme of things, and can always be refinished if needed.(or protected as others have done)

Yes, provided that the magazine in the shotgun is empty and the ammunition in the unattached magazine is otherwise unrestricted. N.B.: The firearm cannot be transported while loaded.

He doesn't need the triggerlock.

That's it.

You can transport an unrestricted gun in your car with ammo on it, like a shotgun with a loaded side saddle, it is perfectly legal.

You may freak some people out while you open the trunk, but if you're not in Quebec, you're ok. Obviously Peter is in a crazy liberal/socialist city named Montreal, I can understand the use of a piece of something to cover the gun up, but it is still easy to grab if you ever need it for whatever reason in a hurry.
I'm going camping this week and I'll put my shotgun in the trunk of my car. I'll be more worried about 4-legged things than 2-legged things tho... ;)

I like the idea and think it's right, but would any one have that on paper anywhere? I'm sure if get pulled over and a police officer looks in my trunk and asks questions, that replying "the guys on CGN told me it was ok" would work.
 
Make sure your printer is connected then hit control P, then enter. And then you'll have it on paper.

How is this any different than the truck guns that many people carry every day behind the seat? Look in the Firearms Act at the section about transporting a non-restricted firearm. It must be unloaded, nothing more. Ammo can be transported loose with no issues and must only be locked up in storage at your dwelling.
