Haven't tested it at the range yet as I just installed it, but so far the stock set feels pretty nice. Installation took about 30-40 minutes (that's without reading instructions). My trigger guard needed a little trimming in order to get the stock to fit perfectly. I really like the feel of the pistol grip with the soft padding in the palm area. For my particular setup the adjustable cheek pad isn't really needed, but I just left it on for now. The forend is longer than the factory piece so it does overlap the receiver when pulled rearward. As a result I had to remove my 7 round S&J detachable shell holder. I also noticed the corner of the forend obstructs the ejection port a little. I'm hoping this doesn't hinder ejecting spent shells. I might just trim the forend a bit anyways as it looks like it will get in the way of dropping in a shell through the ejection port. I'll take it out to the range tomorrow and report back.

I picked mine up at the SHOT Show so I'm not sure who has these in stock at the moment. Marstar has it on their site but it's showing out of stock. You can get it off ATI's website (saw it on there when I was ordering something earlier) and right now they're offering free shipping for a limited time.
 
Just got back from the range and I've concluded that the recoil reduction on the ATI Scorpion system is about the same as putting a limbsaver pad on a standard butt stock. But overall the stock felt pretty comfortable to shoulder. I'd say the forend leaves a lot to be desired though. The texturing is not adequate enough to get a good secure grip. I found my hand would slip forward on the forend and hit the plastic rail, cutting my index finger. It definitely needs some grip tape or some aggressive stippling. The other issue with the forend is how it obstructs the ejection port.

It's not much, but enough to cause a couple ejection problems. Also, as suspected, it made loading through the ejection port a little slower.
In my humble opinion, if anyone is considering this stock set I recommend getting the butt stock only and running a difference forend.

Thanks, It would make sense to do something similar and just build it into the rail.....

So you know if that setup will mount on a Remington with the stock holes that are drilled and tapped on the receiver?

Turns out the ghost ring is kinda part of the rail and kinda not. I took mine off to get a pic for you. The rearward part of the rail is cut to accept the separate ghost ring piece.

The entire assembly is mounted to the receiver with 4 screws, spaced at roughly 35.5mm center to center. Hope that helps. :)
 
Does anyone have / or personally used the Knoxx spec ops less then lethal orange stock? I can't find any pics of one mounted on a shot gun!!

To be honest i havent taken it out yet. I sure hope so though, i like how far its collapsible. Its not a light gun so its nice to be able to bring it in close to the body and have good contact with the stock. Had to glue the stupid pressure pad on if anyones wondering why it looks funny. Oh and two point slings are useless with this in my opinion. had a two and went to the one because it wouldnt lay right when hanging. And the sling attachment for the stock is way too far back for a sling so i recomend putting it forward where i have it unless you want to be tripping over it.
 
I put this one together from parts n bits I picked up. The 870 recever, knoxx stock and rhino rail I picked up on the ee here, the +2 mag extention was in the surplus room @ Milarm, I bought the 18" barrel new , the laser, holo sights and mbus are all from eBay.

i have a remington 870 deer, which i dismantled, and mounted a Ati stock and forend.
its a 4 shot tube, with factory adjustable sights. it has a side mount site rail, and a 40mm 6x scope with tactical quad hex bolt rings. Its got a simple browning sling, and a pachmayer slip on decelerator pad ontop of the factory recoil pad. (remington factory pad)
Its not shown in photo, but its also got a Nstar 20mm tube laser mounted in front of the mag tube.

all in, gun, stock, scope, mount, rings, gunsmithing time, laser, laser mounts, and recoil pad... it cost me 528 bucks to build this rig.

this is my dedicated 12 gauge hunting rig. slug/buckshot only. its small, and light, and is about 2" groups at 50 yards, (brenneke slugs)

im very happy with the ati stock. it makes my shotty what is it today.
