CSA VZ58 in 7.62x39. I stole the fore vertical hand grip from my Kriss. The furniture is FAB Defense. Sorry to all you traditionalists...I like the rifle dressed in black.

I'm trying to make something close to my favorite rifle, the as val, using a vz-58. Anyone have any recommendations for a stock that resembles this:

For some reason I just can't get into the ACE stocks, which I guess are the closest thing. Also has anyone found a source of after market polymer magazines (7.62x39)?

I had some ATI stuff left over. So yesterday I installed a rail and for-grip on my factory hand guard. Just need the side mount for my red dot and that's tactical enough to please me.

I replaced my factory folder stock with a home made wood stock (padauk) Stamped it with my forum name, date and Canada. May not be the prettiest but it's custom fit for my personal comfort.

Im getting a VZ, but now my heart is torn 2 ways... part of me wants to make a wicked tripped out VZ like yours..... another part wants to make wood AK furniture and keep things all classic haha both versions will have a posp on them, what side rail are you using on your setup ?

I fabricated the side rail. I think Corwin Arms sells rails.
I have the tools so I made my own, incorporated a removable shell deflector. Eventually I would like to swap the POSP with a BelOMO PK-A red dot when I hit the pistol range at our club. Swap back to POSP for longer range fun.
