I had to take the adjustment slider off my rear sight to give enough room for the 40mm lense. So def I won't be using iron sights, unless I change scopes or take it off.
Here's what my CZ858 looks like with the dust cover installed and a Bushnell Trophy XLT 3-9 on it using Leupold PRW high rings. The dust cover mounts very solidly using the two bolts either side. Only down side is you have to undo the two bolts for cleaning. upside is, you never touch the scope or the scope mounts , just take the entire cover with scope attached off the gun.
It looks like the actual cover is as close to identical as I can see, going from mine to the Zahal website. Only realy difference I can gather is the Zahal has the springs installed, the one from Corwin does not. It took me a few minutes and some sore fingers to get the big spring on, but got it in the end. The good news is the one from Corwin is priced quite a bit less than the Zahal, and the price difference is not worth it for just the springs being mounted. I also like the idea of suporting a Canadian Company (although I have no clue where the machining is actually done, at least Corwin is in Canada
I used the high rings as I really wanted a decent mag scope on it, and to be able to pull the bolt handle back, I needed the extra room. Somewhere I know there is a left side bolt handle kit, just haven't looked yet. At least that would allow me to put some kind of brass deflector on the RHS. For now, I taped up the scope (few layers of duct tape - homage to Red Green - with some electrical tape over that and some velcro to help protect.
Taking it to the range to see how it all works tomorrow, will let y'all know how it goes.

Had fun at the range today sighting this thing. Took a while but I did get it zero'd. This thing is pretty good at 50 yds. I got down to ~1.7" groups (5) at 50 Yds. The biggest pain was the brass getting hung up on the scope as it was ejecting. It seems the LHS cartridge (in the LAR mags) was prone to bounce up, hit the scope and drop back down to block the bolt carrier on the return. Gonna have to figure something out, eitehr some kind of brass defelctor, or maybe try to get a cantelever mount and move the scope farther forward. Other than that, it was really fun to shoot with the scope.
Got a new stock on her, and a light mounted on the side. Bought a side rail for my PRI upper mount and mounted the light there. Also mounted the Railed Spring cover (the kind you can get from Zahal.org, got it from www.corwin-arms.com) and put the EoTech 512 on it. I really like this setup.
My wife says it looks mean now. She thinks it should be banned. O0

It is maybe an inch longer? I haven't measured it yet but that is how it feels. I like it, the metal joint is nice and solid and it folds to the right! I will try to later take a pic of the difference.
Man I love those handguards. I have been eyeing the ones with all the rails on your site, but seeming that I can no longer beat the pin out of my current lower handguard, I don't want to drop the coin

How are said rails attached to these handguards and what materail are the handguards made from?
I like the rear reciever mount. I was a doubter in the begining but for a red dot or a magnifer it works great. Kudo's
They are made from high strenght fiber reinforced polymer, They are quite thick. The rails are attached with small bolt that goes in to threaded steel washer/nut on the other side of the guard. The attachment of the rails is very solid
