This was my older brother's first sporting class target rifle.Now THAT is sweet. Thanks for sharing
Dad had the ction from somehwere, and paid $5.25 from Numrich for a barrel blank, chambered it up , installed a set of redfiled Olympicsand the front ramp,( the Lyman was used for 100 yard any sight matches) and made the stocks.
In about two weekends!
It's a small frame greener action, with a VERY crisp 2lb. trigger.
My brother won a pile of matches with it.

Over the years I have owned some very exotic .22LR's, mostly European, Haenel falling blocks, Walther Model 1's, very early Sako's and Anschutz and many others, it's quite a long list, toss in a few 52's, 75's, Springfields etc. I presently own a few custom Coopers with some very nice wood, but my all time favorite is an original Browning T-Bolt grade 2 that I bought new in 1966. It still has it's original finish with a few small marks, but continues to look as good as the day I brought it home. It is somewhat different than most, as someone on the line turned the barrel a full 180 and ".22 Long Rifle" and "Patent Pending" got stamped upside down on the wrong side, the dealer at the time even offered to get me a replacement, I refused, so he discounted the rifle by $10.00 and sent the bill to Browning, at that time this model sold for $77.50. Every once in a while I take it out along with some vintage "Whiz-Bang" or similar ammo and plink away, the ammo of the day has a different smell than present day ammo, and that brings back a lot of good memories of bygone times.

Have you found ammo for it? I've seen a couple of the guns in stores but nobody had much, if any, ammo.New Savage Bmag in .17WSM, with Leupold high rings and Bushnel Elite 4200 2.5-10x40 scope.
