Let's see your C7 clones! (and C8 clones too, I guess...)

No TRIADS are gone. I know numerous other police service have them on their colts. Like Barrie Police. They have no need for them. Why don't you give them a call and see if they are willing to dispose of them. Some services have very strict rules with selling surplus others do not. Try calling their officer in charge of training. Police budgets are tight they might say yes. Or better yet get a supporting business to make the call maybe even get colt to call.

Did some research on the matter when I got home and the it is definitely a FA BCG, but its a Colt, not a Diemaco, so all of the internet hero's (you know who you are) can take a hike and go find someone else to hassle with your self righteous attitude.

OK lets just keep to the basic ground rules

Keep the discussion civil

spare kit that been 'borrowed' from the RQ/CQ or found in your kit bag can not be sold, if you're using it fine but when you're done you need to turn it in, selling it is illegal, and a chargeable offence.

If you have kit that may have been 'stolen' or illegally removed from stores and then sold by a service member illegally expect to be questioned about it.

now if you want your C7 or C8 clone to look the part your going to have to beat it till the finish wear off then paint it a few times and strip off the paint, then beat more of the finish off.

Anthing else is just a pretty little safe princess / poodle gun :p

Well i'm not beating the crap out of mine. lol... Ill beat the sh!t out of the one they issue me... hehehe...

got one from stores the other week, tagged it as u/s for inspection.

the trirail was on backwards, the plastic bits were melted, the whole gas tube was blue from being overheated, and the little plastic nub on the buffer was slightly melted and peened.

all I can figure is someone had a big pile of mags and ammo and just started dumping mags as fast as they could change them on full auto till the rifle got too hot to hold.

some poor gun plumber is going to have a fit.

I ran my tri-ad backward when I was overseas. Worked better for me that way.

At the weapons tech school, there was a barrel on the wall that showed a bullet existing 3 inches before the end of the barrel. lol, that must of been super hot... hehehe

Ive never dumped mags until the rifle was to hot to hold.

I always wear heavy gloves... lol...

I miss being a gun plumber sometimes, But Air force is a nicer alternative....

Not really, we just replace the parts and check the barrel with erosion and bore straightness gauges along with headspace. The hardest thing to replace in all of that is the gas tube because it actually has a roll pin holding it.

Actually, Some of the Diemaco BCG were provided to Colt and exported in the US. Doesn't mean it came from CAF

Some Colt 6920 had Diemaco M4 receivers and Diemaco FA BCG in them. All the Made in Canada 6520, 6721, 6920, 6921 and 6933 had Diemaco FA BCG in them and if it was a flat top model it had a Diemaco M4 receiver. About 10 years ago Brownells had a bunch of Diemaco FA BCG and M4 receivers they were selling as Colt replacement parts. People were #####ing because they would order a Colt part and get one with a "funny D" on it. Colt's larger dealers in the US had Diemaco BCG as replacement Colt parts.

Working on a clone of a C8 SFW, circa 2006-2008 (Afghanistan)
Just need a 552, and an ARMS 40L in black. Maybe a forward grip screwed into the clamshell.
