Lets see your Squirrel Hunting Rigs!

I just ordered a new 8-32x50 scope for my 22 Lr but it might go on my 17 mach 2. Think I went over power but I like to shoot them in the face
I still think a 25/20 shooting cast or a 25 cal black powder gun would be awesome for squirrel and rabbits

My place is thick with squirrels, but I only shoot the reds. Usually a 12g as its not for sport its all business and I can't guarantee the bullet stays on the property if I use a .22

Oh interesting, so you are a trapper? Does the shot not mess up the fur more then a head shot with a 22LR ? You can if you pick your shots. Dont want blue behind the critter (or what ever colour of sky you have that day) and you will be ok.

A picture of some over penetration from my 17hmr

I meant I'm all business about getting rid of them, as they can cause a pile of damage, the greys and blacks have an agreement with me that they keep to the trees and I don't blast them to smithereens. While my property is rural and I can shoot on it, its not quite 'rural enough' to comfortably shoot rifles other than into the backstop I built.

Oh fair enough. I know reds are protected from hunting. I think they can still be trapped by trappers. No idea about on personal property to prevent damage lol. Mind you, I had to put down about 30 chipmunks who where destroying the place last summer soo... SSS I guess lol Was a good reason to get a nice air rifle! lol
