I just picked up a 760. Carbine in 308. It's not to often you find a real nice shape 760 carbine in 308. Now to see if I like it or not

i don't like the magpul from the pics posted and the ess is considerably more heavy. I still wanted a somewhat light rifle and the little weight I added is canceled out by mitigating recoil because I removed the brakeMan now I really can't wait to drop my ranch into a chassis. Can't really decide between waiting for the Magpul version or the ESS to come out, but for now I've settled on waiting. Could be a while for the ESS but I kinda want a longer handguard on it, for purely aesthetic reasons.

What are the features in one of those stocks that would be advantageous in regular hunting situations over a conventional stock?
