Let's see your tikka's

Other than for looks wouldn't it kinda be counter-intuitive to have a lite/super lite barrel on a heavy stock?? Unless you want it for cosmetics, and then fair enough.

I wouldn't keep it the way it came. I like the flutes, and the laminates bring the most money when parted out. That's why I wondered.

Well. I launched it into the Lammy stock for a few reasons.

1) It's so light out of the box that my heart beat was playing with the POI. (Recoil heavy as well)

2) I prefer wood vs Plastic.

3) It looks Succumb.

22" barrel vs the 24" Magnum caliber's.

Shame Sako didn't offer this off the shelf. It's hardly a Complete factory Re-Tool is it.

Am pretty crap at taking photos.

That looks great ghost rider! I am not a stainless-in-natural-colour fan, but that laminate stock really compliments the stainless silver, with just the right amount of contrast with the black rings, shroud, and scope caps/dials. Nice work.

When it comes to differences in mere ounces, I personally don't notice it. In fact, on the larger calibres, I prefer a bit more weight to absorb the recoil.

Thanks fella's.

You should see it in the flesh. My photography skills are crappy at best. I will snap another pic when I take it out on a hunt.

A Butler Creek objective Cap should finish it off nicely.

Where are you guys getting the DNZ Game Reaper mounts?
I'm wondering if I can use the 1" lows with a 40mm objective scope on a Tikka T3 superlight 30-06?

My DNZ came with the second hand purchase of the rifle. But it is a low mount with a 42mm obj.

Clears fine (About 4 posts up for pics) and I've seen them on Amazon actually for reasonable prices. Haven't looked elsewhere though.
