I have an early model BT99 that I was shooting very well then shot a 98 a couple weeks ago with a model 12 trap and haven’t gone back. I’ve been shooting the model 12 (left) for about 5 weeks now and love it. Just got the one on the right in today. Left is a 1952 and right is a 1961. The model 12 trap seems to fit me well and I LOVE THEM.

Model 12's are in a word, awesome. Love them though I only own one at the moment, a grade 5 Browning repro 20ga but over the years I have owned several. Haven't shot trap with one in several years. Now I shoot a Perazzi TMS for singles and handicap and a 725 Max Trap for doubles. That is a nice pair in your picture. Love the duckbill ribs!!

here's mine. it was my dads, he gave it to me. no idea how old it is but, it has 28" barrel with a fixed full choke. I was told to never shoot steel shot in it as it will ruin the barrel. has never failed me once and shoots great.

Thats a model 1200 field not a model 12. Totally different gun and definitely not a trap gun. Looks to be in decent shape and you were told right. Do not fire steel shot through that fixed full choke. You will be ok to shoot steel through it if you have a gunsmith open the choke a bit to at least a modified constriction.

My Model 12 "trap" gun Frankenstein 1956. I have a few more as well but this has been the go to girl for a few years. Dynamite turkey shoot gun

That’s a nice collection Spank. I want to put and adjustable comb and pad on my BT99. Maybe this winter. Any smiths that would do a decent job at a reasonable price?

Vic Tomlinson. I can pm you his contact info if you are interested? He'll be putting an adjustable comb on my wifes BT-99 this winter too. He did the RAD1a install on my Perazzi in the pics.

I've had this Perazzi MT6 for many years. It's about 40 years old and I've had it for about the last 25 years. It's my go to gun as I shoot it for trap, skeet and sporting clays. The only repair I've done in all those years is new locking block---also cleaned up the end of the firing pins when it started busting primers. The MT6 has a fixed trigger (the Mx8's have drop out triggers) and coil springs whereas most MX's have leaf springs.
