Lets see your yote rifle !

I don't know what to use for photo hosting these days. But it's a Remington 7600 in 30-06 with peep sights. Kinda just shoot them whenever I see them snooping around.

So plural guns. 30-06, 12 gauge, 17hmr, whatever I have handy at the moment.

Can I play along with this? Its only half rifle...

Blaser ES67 16ga over 5.6x50R mag.

Its crazy accurate as long as it is shooting light short and flat based bullets. These are 3 - 40grain varmageddons from a cold clean barrel each shot.

Got a Triggertech and new scope on the LVSF .204, it's a March 2.2-25x42 and should cover everything from gophers at 5 feet to coyotes at 500yards.

10x zoom is a wonderful thing.

Whatever I have on hand is good enough for coyotes. If I'm bow hunting deer and one walks into range I take the shot... Turkey hunting and he sees my decoys and comes to investigate and suddenly my 12g is my coyote gun. Hell I even took one at 50 yards with my 338wm once.

Is true enough. I've shot one with my 9.3x62...

My yote gun is my cheapest rifle and yet very accurate. I bought it so I could go out with it and have no worries and it has become a favorite of mine. We are also all shocked at how accurate it is. Doesn't have the feel of my higher end guns but shoots great

Here's a p1ss poor pic of my yote rifle. Fluted stainless Savage 16 Canadian Classic in .223 w/Leupold vx3 4.5-14x50 varmint reticle.

It's a real nice iron and a shooter but I wish it was in 22-250...

*edit
I guess I should actually call this my beaver rifle since it's taken more beaver than it has coyotes in the last couple of years :)

I have one in 22-250 :stirthepot2:

Got it at my local Crappy Tire and I must admit that it's the first time I saw a Savage and just had to have it. They are a nice rifle and it shoots even better than it looks.

Just to follow up.... Here's a couple of pictures of my 22-250

I should upgrade from the Nikon Prostaff but so far it has served me well. Everything you see in the pictures (except the hardwood floor lol) was a Crappy Tire impulse buy. First and last time that has ever happened (my CT has a rep for only stocking junk guns) but this purchase turned out great.

Judging by all the photos in this thread, bipod of choice is a Harris style 13-25”. Good info, I think I’d prefer a fixed setup, my shooting sticks require too much fiddling in order to get set up.

Shooting sticks suck, too much wiggle wobble making steady shots more difficult.

You're on the right track with a Harris type bipod but I've found that a fixed one also sucks. Every time you move your gun it's always going to end up sitting crooked.

You have to have one that swivels because you still need a certain amount of movement and you need to have the ability to quickly level the gun.

Just my .02

Fair enough, any recommendations aside from the Harris S model?

You can get a Champion pivot bipod for a bit less $$ and they aren't too bad. Or Amazon has some even cheaper ones (I think they're called FeelRight?) but the Harris will be built the strongest. I've bent the legs on a cheap chineseium bipod before, you get what you pay for.

The Harris that pivots is pretty cool. You can tighten up the knob and it takes a little effort to pivot and steadies up pretty solidly.
