Let's talk barrel thickness

Its not exactly clearly defined what a "build" or "custom" means. My 2 cents:
"Rig" or "customised": no machining involved, eg factory barreled action into chassis, new trigger and muzzle brake on already threaded barrel. Includes prefit barrels.
"Build" or "custom": metal had to be removed. Pretty much requires chambering a new barrel or threading on a new brake.

I'm more curious about using the word "built" to describe the process of assembling a rifle. I had a barrel maker chamber and thread a savage prefit for me. I assembled the rifle myself. Sometimes I say I assembled it, sometimes I say I built it. But let's say I sent all my components off and had the blank chambered and shouldered, would it then be okay to say it was "built"? There's really no difference there to me. I don't call the rifle a build however. Usually, my long range rig.

I'm not trying to make a big deal out of this, I'd just like to understand it. I do agree, "to each their own".

I think it's all just semantics, honestly.
