Just bought a new vx 3-9x33 ultra lite for a 45-70. Even has the cds dial.
New in the box, from the retailer, and at a great discount. As luck would have it eh!
I have a freedom 2-7x33 mounted on a 44 mag, and it has been awesome. I use the moa reticle, and have it set to zero at 100 m and shoot out to 200m with hold over.

that's interesting, looked them up, had the lr duplex reticle in the one I saw as well, vx2....that's a very solid ultralight scope for something that doesn't kick too hard (3.4-3.1" eye relief), I ran the older version before cds/reticle on a 7 lb all tikka t3 lite .270 alright, an uncle still running it, great little scope
I checked through leupold line up to see if they have anything that can run with the Trijicon 3-9x40 accupoint yet...nope, their fire dots are 30mm tubes and need batteriesTheir vx3hd 2.5-8 is the best alternative to the 3-9x33 ultralight...they should never get rid of that ultralight option.
I sure hope someone takes holosun's solar technology from their reflex sights and gets into a scope one day to get rid of them batteries. They have one now that just works with a capacitor, ultra small technology and give the Trijicon fibre optic reticle dot a run for its money.
