Leupold 3-9x33?

They should bring the 3-9x33 ultralight back. It is the perfect scope for a cz 527 (short eye relief and short eye box matches that short little action well) but makes a dandy sheep rifle scope also. Good luck finding one.

Just bought a new vx 3-9x33 ultra lite for a 45-70. Even has the cds dial.

New in the box, from the retailer, and at a great discount. As luck would have it eh!

I have a freedom 2-7x33 mounted on a 44 mag, and it has been awesome. I use the moa reticle, and have it set to zero at 100 m and shoot out to 200m with hold over.

Curious how much it costed you?

Only other option apart from the freedom is the vx3hd, but they are considerably more. Or some other brand. I have not really checked out other offerings, and just lucked out on the vx2. I was buying powder and happened to check the sale items.

Made the powder I was buying free delivery too, go figure in this day and age.

I have a 2-7x(527 carbine) and 3-9x(xbolt micro hunter), either freedom or vx1, pretty much my entry level goto choice in scopes

Love to try a 2.5-8x vx3hd

that's interesting, looked them up, had the lr duplex reticle in the one I saw as well, vx2....that's a very solid ultralight scope for something that doesn't kick too hard (3.4-3.1" eye relief), I ran the older version before cds/reticle on a 7 lb all tikka t3 lite .270 alright, an uncle still running it, great little scope

I checked through leupold line up to see if they have anything that can run with the Trijicon 3-9x40 accupoint yet...nope, their fire dots are 30mm tubes and need batteries ;) Their vx3hd 2.5-8 is the best alternative to the 3-9x33 ultralight...they should never get rid of that ultralight option.

I sure hope someone takes holosun's solar technology from their reflex sights and gets into a scope one day to get rid of them batteries. They have one now that just works with a capacitor, ultra small technology and give the Trijicon fibre optic reticle dot a run for its money.

I agree with the thought that Leupold is loosing out on dropping a lite line up. Lots of guys looked to them for their ultra light hunting rifles, and now options are limited.

The 45-70 now has about 50 rounds through it, and is working out excellent. Can't even tell its on there it is soooo light.
