Kodiak what have you replaced your leupolds with?
Who else makes light one inch tubes with no fancy reticles or turrets and low magnification ranges for fudds?
I'm long time leupold fan 1" tube stuff, and
now also have Trijicon Accupoint 3-9x40's and bigger fan of these. 1" tube, 13.4 oz, clear barrels in low rings, better glass, better feeling adjustments both turret and magnification ring, lift and lock turret reset (no more Allen wrench), and two great reticles with battery free illuminated center dot (I prefer green, just like my bow sights - the brightest option for my eyes), duplex and mil-dot duplex, both reticles simple, the mil dot gives you a few hold overs for the usual hunting and a couple more for scaring hung up coyotes and playing on steel...and you can get Kenton speed dial elevation turret spun up for dialling up if you like. I have not had a chance to confirm return to zero on these yet but hopefully this year but trijicon has a solid reputation for zero hold and durability which I'd say goes above leupolds...so if you have aging eyes like me and refuse to put anything over 1 lb on top of your hunting rigs...have a good hard look at the trijicon, bit more expensive than leupolds but a buy once cry once as is most quality optics is. I still like leupold a lot. I have a 6x36 I had Korth put a cds-zl turret on for me just get slapped on an ultralight build I'm working on, as much as I love the trijicon, I could go either way but this way I didn't have to come up with another $1100 bucks lol and it suits the tiny little rifle just a tad more than the 3-9x40...it remains to be seen however if I will keep the leupy on or move to the trijicon.
And to stay on topic....Korth has been amazing to deal with, not sure how many scopes they've customized for me, none have been warranty, plus they deal other things, brought in proof research barrel for me...it's always been top notch service, lucky to have so close home. Not only that, I mentioned to my guy at Korth that I was looking for swag for the kids, shirts, hats etc. and he sent me a box full of goodies, over and above, decals, license plate frame covers, hitch covers (hornady) etc. Not sure they will do that for everyone but I did mention I had done plenty of work with them for a long time...give it a shot folks.
