Great photos guys!
But the truth is that the laws were changed that unless you wore suspenders in hunting camp, you were not man enough for a full size rifle and had to use the "boys size" carbine.
Those who could not find the appropriate suspenders to wear had to carry the short barrels. UNLESS however, you smoked a pipe in camp, then you could chose suspenders OR a longer rifle. Hope this clears up any confusion that might have been there previously.
Looking at old hunting pictures makes me nostalgic for the older simpler times. Maybe someday our kids will look at today's hunting pictures and feel the same.
Now I have to find a pair of suspenders and the pipe....
PS: not a thread of GoreTex on those hunters. How did they shoot anything wearing those clothes?
