Liberal Handgun Ban?

I am at a point where I will play the martyr if need be, maybe that'll be what it takes to draw public attention to this BS.
And all other gun owner (including lots, if not most, people here) will happily feed you to the wolf and duck for cover, or say that you should have complied to the will of the many and given up your gun, as law-abiding citizen (ie. sheeps) do.

Many people will listen to factual reason.

Would these people be the same people who currently think that prohibiting the legal sale of firearms and ammunition in their city is going to prevent criminals from obtaining firearms and ammunition? You're saying that these type of people can be influenced by rationality???

I don’t think people are going to hand over their legally purchased guns over to the government so easily unless they are financially compensated ,and guns that are not Registered will stay hidden

So? Wouldn't expect otherwise

Bernier knew that Scheer didn't have a hope in Hell in 2019 (and the most recent polls before Maxime bailed underscored this). That's why he did what he did. You're deluding yourself thinking that Scheer had a chance.

The TMX and the NAFTA disasters will hurt the Turd in the coming election but Jagmeet Singh will be siphoning those votes.

As gun owners we all need to now be supporting Bernier all the way. He is our only voice in the federal government. Remember that he lost the Conservative leadership race by a fraction of a fraction of 1%. This means that his potential support is likely still there.

Bernier defeating the Turd in 2019 is extremely unlikely (and I really do believe that Max already knows this). But the Lefty vote in the next election will likely be even further split between Turdeau and Singh by current Liberals who feel that Turdeau isn't destroying the country fast enough. This means that, with enough of real Conservative support behind him, Bernier might have a realistic chance of being the official opposition in 2019 and perhaps the Turd will have only a minority government. This is at least something that we can justifiably hope for.

Support Bernier now and let's focus on 2023.

(If I'm wrong and Bernier doesn't have the support that he thinks he has then Canada is truly lost. If that is indeed the case then let's know now.)

the only thing Bernier will do is,make it more difficult to destroy the Liberals, self serving little man, should at least make sure his supporter help the CPC cause,Bernier doesn't have a hope in hell of being opposition leader, sorry,,but that's the truth,

you go that right, when they brought out the first registry, they never even reached 15% registered gun of all the guns known to be in the country.that means that 85% of owners never complied.meaning 85% of gun went dark, today with the state of the country and the world we live in,the number of non compliance would be closer to 95%.there's a reason for the dramatic increase in gun licenses, and hoarding of ammo.more power to them i say, keep buying, nothing pisses off the anti-gun woosies thn seeing record numbers of gun sales, and ammo sales,

becoming a liberal to boot out the liberals is not an acceptable path, at some point, you need to look back and stands to your values.

Do you caution the dairy/poultry industry cartels ? Do you caution multiculturalism ? Do you caution restriction on free-speech ?

I will always struggle to understand why individuals in these types of threads will go out of their way to challenge one another on how the demise of our community will unfold. Can't you find a more productive way to channel that intellectual passion? Like, say, actually helping our cause? Smh.

Scheer is referred to as "Trudeau Lite".

As true Conservatives, Bernier is all that we now have left. We'll know soon whether or not he has the support that he thinks does. If he doesn't then so be it. We'll then know that Canada is lost. You don't want to support Bernier? Fine. Turn in all your guns now and quit #####in' about it...

When writing your letters, the one point that needs to be emphasized is " YOU WILL NOT GIVE UP YOUR GUNS/PROPERTY", if a few 10, 20, 30 thousand gun owners make this clear, an outright gun ban will not happen. The liberals like to criticize Saudi Arabia for the jailing of one activist, lets see how they respect rights in Canada and how they treat Activists.

Turdeau doesn't like putting real criminals in jail. I'm sure that there's plenty of room in Canadian prisons for us...

Suggesting that people vote for Bernier in a manner that implies he has a better chance than Scheer is as laughable as it is disingenuous. You're effectively telling people to throw their vote away based on a personal bias. Kind of lame.

We cannot afford to split the vote again.
Question
Was anyone reading this forum at the recent CPC policy conference out East? Why not?

Is any one looking to be a delegate at the upcoming Provincial conservative conference?
Nomination meetings are happening now in Ontario. Call your local riding association.

Bernier and Scheer were practically tied in the party leadership race. I want to know if Bernier still has that kind of support and I want know if there are any real Canadians left in this country. Scheer is waste of time and he's more Liberal than Conservative. He pulls his punches when dealing with Turdeau. Bernier won't. I really believe there's a possibility that Bernier can become leader of the opposition in 2019. The Liberals are going to lose votes to Jagmeet Singh in 2019 so there's also a chance the Turd might have a minority government. We really have got nothing to lose by splitting the vote...

Having your ideas questioned, will expose flaws which need to be ironed out. It will better prepare you for future arguments so you have the ammo to defend those ideas.
Can't make improvements without criticism.

The few sustained and reasoned arguments in this thread have been successively drowned out by pessimistic and cathartic ramblings. Though I agree with your point whole heartedly, there isn't much substance to the argumentative equivalent of curling up in the fetal position.

It's probably best to preface your statements with "IMHO".
