According to the manual that came with my DA556, service life is estimated at 6000 rounds. I suspect there's a great deal of variation however. If you aren't shooting it red-hot all the time and doing proper maintenance and lubrication, I suspect it will last a lot longer.
So at $600 for a DA or any other named Norinco with a manufacturer claimed expected service life of approx 6000 rounds you can buy 2 of them for the price of one decent brand name AR which should and more than likely will give you more than 20000 rounds of reliable service.
Does anyone still think a Norinco AR is a good deal?
With firearms as with ammo, you get what you pay for most of the time.
