I've been told that Sako 90 is a good rifle. Peak version in carbon fiber stock is 5.7 lbs (2.6 kg).
CZ 600 Trail is 6.2 lbs (2.8 kg).
Bergara B-14 Ridge Carbon around 6.6 lbs (3kg)
Sig Cross a bit less than 6.5 lbs (3kg)
According to the spec sheet it’s a Stocky’s
We have a LW storm in 6.5. I haven't weighed it, but its a feather with talleys and a vx2 2-7.
Took a quick look at Tenda, they have a CZ 600 Alpha in 308 for $849, listing says that it weight 2 KG or 4.40925 lbs.

More like 7 lbs really
The Model Sevens have a great receiver but the barrels were a gamble on accuracy. Some were great shooters and capable of shooting a tight cloverleaf with factory ammo while others grouped like shotguns. If a Seven is available, use it for a custom build and get a good barrel cut short with a light to standard contour.
Or, buy the Tikka. Good barrels. I hate the plastic mags and never warmed up to the receiver but they tend to be accurate and inexpensive.
Rem Mtn and Mtn SS are/have been in the $12-1600 range for the last few I’ve seen in recent months, still a viable option however. Certainly no complaints with my SS version.
Theres a walnut stocked 708 remington mtn rifle for $1000 right now.![]()
