Lightest 5.56 semi auto magazine fed rifle

Nutnfancy is hardly the go to source for what's awesome. He himself says in his reviews he usually shoots some 500-1000 rounds. While that will expose inital issues its hardly a mark of a gun that will last.

Not to mention him or any other reviewer alone is a sample of one.

The su16 is an ok range toy for light and i mean light recreational use. Hard use has shown an abnormally large failure rate. Shame because I do admire kel tecs willingness to experiment and innovate and come out with some neat designs.

I just finished rewatching his vid from 2016.. His comment is its a sport utility gun ..You will not be in a 30 day unsupported fire fight with the Taliban..If so get a AR..But then we are into R

I bought an su16 and sold as soon I took it out of the box, nerf guns seem better made. I'd stick with my new series mini 14.

Light, handy and easy on the girlfriend/wife,,,yeah SU16.
Is the misses going to be taking up a firearm as part of a profession, no.
Recreationally and to join in with you on occasion,,,sure.

At least he shoots the gun, which is more than can be said about 99% of forum posters, and much better than all those “reviewers” that basically just make an unboxing video.

You got no arguments from me on that onr because you are quite correct on both fronts.

Why does everyone immediately revert to an unrealistic idea like that?

No i don't expect to get into a 30 day firefight with an enemy force... but i do expect my gear to last a long time with minimal hassles. Hard use can include competition and simply put training. Be it classes or just practice. Over times as the rounds stack up a well built carbine that can handle the punishment lasts while the other one... does not.

As Sir Plus said a lot of people on here will probably be fine since they usually shoot a whopping 500 rounds a year if that. For them it's not relevant. But if thats your round cound per month or less, you're gonna break it in short order.
