Anyone have any experiance with these things I'm thinking bout gettin one but I am wondering if its worth it or if its just another marketin gimmic for those of us gullable enough to pay for it. Before anyone says something like all you need to do to tighen your groupins is practice, I know already but this is for my newest toy and would love it if i can inprove the accuracy with out hand loading I've already spent more then i ahve on this so if i can get better groups for 20 bucks with factory ammo as apposed to 200 or so with a lee kit and componets I am goin for it. Thanks

I have on one my Steven 200 in .223 Rem. They work okay, but there is no substitute for working up a load.

There rae many who claim you can get the same benefits by changing the over all length of your rounds. Seems that a few thousands can match the round to the barrel harmonics. It may be worth a try. Make up three cartridges with various OAL and give it a try .

Funny this came up, I had problems with barrel harmonics today. I use a suppressor here in the UK, esp on my 243. I"m going to Scotland for a week in September for stags and don"t want the extra weight of the suppressor.
I"ve been trying to work up a handload for the 243 without the suppressor, but was"nt getting my ususal groups. After much frustration and wasted Grand Slam bullets, I borrowed the suppressor of my mate"s rifle(he was on the range with me), and my groups shrank right down again.
I intend to bring my 243 with me when I move to Canada, but I can"t bring the suppressor, so I needed to put something on to replace the suppressor.
I ended up with a sock full of bullets taped onto the barrel!
I tried sliding it up and down the barrel and shooting groups at different "settings"(if you can have "settings" on a sockful of bullets!)
The results were amazing, as the groups moved around, grew and shrank with different positions.
I have started work on a muzzle brake tonight, so I hope to try that on monday.
The limbsaver deresonator certainly would have an effect, it"s just a matter of finding a position where the rifle "likes to have it", if indeed the effect is beneficial.
You could always try an exhaust mount rubber, it"s the same thing!
