LionHeart LH9 News Update

No more threaded barrels. They have no use in Canadian market and no one is buying them for the cool factor. Ever wonder why threaded versions of some guns are always in stock?

Lots of people, including myself like the look or "cool factor" of threaded barrels. Also, I have some hopes of being able to purchase and own suppressors one day in Canada (overly optimistic, I know)

You could also install a compensator.

Also, with a threaded barrel, it would look like the Mk 22 MOD 0 "Hush Puppy".

Also, if Lionheart becomes established in Canada, they might release an extended, unthreaded barrel.

Now to raise a thread from the dead and into the living. Lionheart industries has finally produced a threaded barrel that is greater than 105mm

Full long standard: 4.13″ 104.8 mm
Full long threaded: 4.70″ 119 mm

Costs $400 USD just for that barrel and it doesn't look like they offer threaded barrel pistols only. Total cost if someone wanted to bring 1 into Canada unless you can negotiate with a importer/distributor

$750 USD pistol
$400 USD threaded barrel
$150 USD import fee (guestimating)
$100 USD shipping (guestimating)

= $1400 USD = $ 1778 CAD

= $1400 USD = $ 1778 CAD

I remember when Lionheart had these things up for sale on a black Friday for $400 USD and I couldn't buy one because of 1.1m of steel shortage in the barrel. And look at the price of them now.

I seriously doubt that an importer/distributor would pay full price of the pistol + threaded barrel. If Lionheart wished to enter the Canadian market, then they would make a compromise.

It's always great to see more products available in Kanada.
I wonder why they need special serial numbering. May be it's the new UN thing.
Sounds like Bovine Waste to me.

As far as innovation or features that would set it apart from the slew of other 9mm that are available out there, I would have to say the double action plus feature is very interesting. Other than that, they are very well built and accurate service pistols (or more accurately copies of a service pistol). There are a few video reviews out on the YouTube if you would like to see it in action:

Interesting!

Keep hoping; hope is likely the only thing any of us will ever be able to screw on the end of our barrels.
