Did not realize that the TOZ-8 was a trainer, cool.
To the op. I've never seen a Canadian no. 8 or no. 9 .22 trainer. Those models are most associated with the U.K. And NZD respectively. If anyone has aka canadian marked version of one of these, that is not a uk conversion of a wartime longbranch, I will stand corrected.
I've got an FN Mauser scratch built .22 trainer. Looks identical to it's big brother in .30-'06. Bought them as a pair. Both are excellent shooters.
46M is the best of the Mossberg lot IMO.
I've a 42 (b) as well and it's prone to malfunctions compared to the 46M.
How do they compare to the Mossberg 44US?
...just am clinching a deal on a Canadian WWI Lee-Enfield SHT 22 MKIV* as we speak. This last one came built in 22 LR from the get go, not a reline.
