List the most reliable NR semi-auto rifles

The G36 is sweet...but man that is a lot of coin.

Funny about the mention of the TWN - I was at the LGS last week and looked at the WK180 and MCR. The MCR seemed nicer. I asked about JR Carbine and he said he refuses to bring them in in 9mm because they are so unreliable. He only brings in the TWN. But I've read about lots of issues in those too.

Really, the list from what I have read, I've seen nothing bad about the X95 and Tavor. The SL8 seems good, except for some complaints about ergonomics (may be an issue for smaller hands?). Kriss Vector seems complaint free as well - save for being big/heavy for a PCC. I never thought I'd say it, but maybe the Troy PAR is a good balance for cost/availability/reliability. I try to avoid Chinese products, but the T97 Gen 3 is also readily available. Not much info out there though.

The JRC's have been around for a looong time compared to some of their competition. The early gens developed a bad rep for poor reliability. As far as im concerned JRCs has since overcame those issues, I own a new gen and its been phenomenal in most ways. A buddy liked mine so much he bought one as well and its also been excellent for him. This however this pre-dates the FX9 and Ruger PC9s presence to the market. Which for the most part I now think are slightly better options then the JRC.

Id say for the rest of that your pretty much on point man! each to their own about the Chinese products tho... u simply asked about reliable NR platforms and ultimately the Type 81SA will trump most of the current options out there in that regard lol

I'm not up to speed on them - there are some "real" ones and some "converted" ones out there. Any difference in function?

By conversion I have to assume you mean an SL8, yes there is internal differences that will have an effect on durability

let's see a comparable test?

let me just pull that 26,000rnd of .223 out of my back pocket and ill get back to ya lol

AR 15 that cost probably 4x less passed....

HK 36 basically that cost 4x MORE jammed once.... not what id consider a fail, but goes to show that the gun aint 4x better built, more reliable or more accurate then many decently priced Western .223s

My most reliable rifle ever was my X95. I’ve never owned a rifle that would feed from every magazine I own. The X95 did. Sadly I sold it to finance a G36.

The G36 is nice but it’s extractor axel walked out after 180 rounds. It’s now properly installed. It’s not the rifles fault - the extractor axel wasn’t properly installed with the outside ends flattened. It’s good to go and ready to rock now. The whole experience has made me realize that HK G36 parts are very difficult to get. Thankfully they are fairly robust.

The X95 and G36 are the ultimate rifles - and I’ve owned nearly all of them.

The G36 isn’t the value that the IWI X95 is, unless your going to make it a coyote rig and be shooting past 200 yards . Accuracy on the X95 is 4-6 MOA, the G36 is 1-3”, and no, it doesn’t suffer from any heat issues that I could measure.

Something has to be said for the X95 and it’s compact reliability.

My two cents
