Lithgow F90 Rumor

Are these ambi configurable?

The mag release is ambi. The bolt release isnt. The safety is cross bolt. Charging handle cannot be changed over. As such it's on the wrong side for us lefties. There will be a left handed bolt available for purchase to change ejection. So all in all the Tavor is much better rifle for left handed users. I will pass on this rifle as a lefty.

I also lost interest in it because it doesn't take stanag mags. Taking steyr aug only mags doesn't really help its case for classification.

Identical and from the same assembly line as the Mitchell Arms AK22.

The Mitchell Arms AK22 is named in the OIC as prohibited.

AP80 is thus a mechanical variant of a named prohibited firearm.

Understand what guns are on the "AK" list. Politicians classed the AK22 as prohib by appearance.... not the lab.

Ah gotcha.

If there was an update, the importer would be notified by the RCMP, during a business day, and they’d release a preorder, before confirming actual numbers with the manufacturer. The buying frenzy would be wild, then once hundreds of thousands of dollars are in limbo, they’d try to secure the first shipment. Only to find out that their contract has been given to a sleezy business like North Sylvia, who would artificially inflate the price and justify it with DMR safety levers.

So until that happens, relax, have a cold one and buy a different gun, preferably one that’s already in Canada for sale.

LOL. Everything about this post is 100% on point

I would way rather buy a real AUG for that price. STANAG mags, metal receiver, quick change barrels... all things available in the real AUG for less money.

I know polymer has come a long way but something about rifles with a polymer receiver will always bother me.

You know I bet a lot of people would buy a real Aug for that price. Too bad they are prohibited.

Don't forget the losers that willingly pay 1000+ more than they should ;)

I mean... you aren't wrong.

As right as you are, I really like the look of the M-10, it's the most AK-look-a-like rifle available to us :(

I was told that the first run of the rifles are already built and sitting in Australia. So hopefully the FRT goes though...

Real Augs didn't initially take STANAG mags, STANAG mag compatible versions came later.

They've also always had plastic outer shells. The quick change barrel is neat but of little real world value.

The only Atrax design changes that look questionable to me are the deletion of the excellent AUG folding vertical foregrip and also the "hook" at the bottom front of the buttstock that makes it easy to steady the gun when shooting prone.
