So I purchased a LMT LM308 MWSE and I'm wondering if I should try something other than an Elcan Spectre DR 7.62 1.5-6X optic. I run the Spectre DR's on all of my rifles with no compliants, but maybe it's time to look at other options. So here's the criteria for my optic needs.
It needs to be capable of a beating without losing zero and have good glass.
I want an illuminated crosshair/ chevron/ dot, and either a long battery life or tritium.
I want to be able to go from long range to CQB with little or no effort ( I've even considered a reflex RD on top or side of a magnified optic).
I would prefer at least 6X magnification and be either PVS14 or PVS22 compatible.
I want to keep the weight down ( hence the move from the Spectre DR)
I can purchase a Spectre DR 1.5-6X for around $2600 (taxes in), so that's my budget.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions, and pics of optic set ups are appreciated as well.
