What are Pedersoli Tryon rifles going for these days?

I want to replace the Tryon I loaned a so-called friend.
He asked me if I wanted to trade or sell it, I told him he could use it but I wanted to keep it.
We were half way through a trade for a BP Pedersoli 1859 Berdan Sharps.
I gave him a number of items to cover half of it and he sold the gun at the May gun show.
So I am out the items I gave him on partial trade, and the Tryon.
He must have really needed the money to do something like that.
So F**k him, I have long memory, and I hold a grudge.

I just need to know if there any dealers carrying them in Canada, and what price am I looking at to replace the gun?

The first think that crossed my mind is that anyone that desperate for cash may have a drug problem. I'm serious.

Myself if I were you I'd file a complaint with the local police or at least sue the bast@rd for property loss.
F@ck man call the CFO and follow up on this. The guy's a thief.......let the criminal law fall down on him like a ton of bricks!!
If he is your 'friend' just think about how many others he has possibly done this to??

Hmmm, easy guys there's two sides to every story. I know myself that if someone friend or not has only partially paid for an item and was very slow on the remainder despite several opportunities to pay the balance, and someone comes around with full $ payment, guess what, its gone. I would of course give the initial person back his "down payment" anything less is thievery. This is only one of the possibilities in the other side of things, but a little more reasonable than a drug fiend, or calling in the "FEDS".

Was A Friend
Wasn't a time problem, we worked on the deal for a few weeks.
He deals with kids that have problems, aren't allowed in the regular class rooms in the school system.
I am wondering if he may have started taking something to get him through the day after all these years, and it got out of hand.

Sounds fishy to me... Let me get this strait;

ex-friend - "hey bud, wanna buy my BP Pedersoli 1859 Berdan Sharps ?"
you - "heck ya ! But I don't got any money, will you take these items as collateral ?"

* atleast 5 months later, you find out he sold "your stuff" to cover the cost of the rifle you were supposed to BUY, & you're complaining ?

Now who sounds like they have a drug-problem...

We are focusing too much on the reason I want another Tryon rather than the item. Whats done is done and I can't change it.

I found out he sold the Sharps at the show and the Tryon a little later. He never contacted me to return the items or my gun after the show and he has my number.
We agreed were going to complete the deal after the show, because I was busy getting items priced and cleaned up for the show. The last piece he wanted was in storage and I didn't have time to dig it out, and he said it could wait.
I am out a Tryon and about $750 in other items, and I can't change that. Maybe the weight of work, wife that had a stroke, and a step son who is out of control, is taking its toll on him. So I left him alone. I feel sorry for him, and bad because I trusted him and he was the last person I would have thought would do something like that. If he needed cash I could have helped him by buying his gun but he wanted to trade.

My point is:
I want another .50 Cal Tryon New or Used and I just explained why I wanted to get another one, who has them for sale in Canada?

I will check out Shooters Choice.
It was registered to my wife and was never transferred to him. If anything happened to me I wanted her to keep it for my kids.

I wrote this part in a moment of anger, I liked the guy and just can't believe he did it.

NP, I've been known to get pissed off myself, sometimes friends, sometimes family, we've all been there I think.

A few people here need to stop dumping on Albayo and maybe tell him where he can find what he's looking for. Everyone of us has probably had someone they they trusted do them dirty, can't blame the guy for being bitter.
