Lockhart renegade semi auto conversion

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ............ You may want to consider the two conversions below and then rethink your argument?

The semi-auto converted lever gun.

This proves my point.

A conversion doesn't change the abilities of the original, unless there has been a conversion.

If we're so worried about modifications, how long until trigger kits make it on the unacceptable list? To that end, it's a NR rifle, unless you're sprinting to to police demanding that they take it, how does anybody know it exists?

So, where is the line for "acceptable" modifications? How much, in your opinion, is too much?
As I've stated before, I'd consider rolling the dice on one of those mods. At least I can canabalise the AR parts that are rusting away. At worst I disappoint Daddy Carney, I'm already a disappointment so LETS GOOOOO!
lol at anyone who thinks a semi-auto Renegade isn’t an AR-15 variant in the eyes of the RCMP. I think ATRS is all the proof we need.

Right now, this conversion is not illegal.
Sooner or later, perhaps already, the RCMP will create a FRT entry for the modified rifle. Remember that the FRT is to be a catalogue of all firearms..
Sooner or later, perhaps already, the firearm will be classified by the RCMP.
Sooner or later the FRT entry including the classification will be published.

I don’t care who gets it. That’s not my point at all.
Back to your original point about the 715t being banned as an ar variant. Who is to say that they won't do the same thing to the Renegade, even in its bolt configuration. As you've stated there is no rhyme or reason to the prohibitions. It's got AR ergonomics, that was good enough for the 715 it'll be good enough for the Renegade. Enjoy it while you can still play with it.

They might revisit it if someone makes a semi-auto version. 🤷‍♂️
