It only became a variant in their eyes when PolyS started screeching. Which means by their own definitions it was / is not a variant.

However, to this day it remains technically non restricted.

Every type of ATRS Modern Sporter is listed as prohibited in the FRT.

You can take the risk of proving the FRT wrong in court if you’d like, I sure don’t have that kind of free cash or time.

I'm well aware, but again, as per the letter of the law it is in fact NR. You also know this.

End of the Day, the MRA Renegade has a AR-15 pistol grip, a AR-15 adjustable buttstock, a picatinny rail, a AR-15 handguard and a AR-15 barrel. If you think they are not already coming for it, you'd be wrong. Even without the LT modification, I wouldn't be surprised to see it on the next ban list. Might as well swing for the fences.

This is delusional. Being a manual action straight pull is not what makes it different to the AR-15. Not being able to mate either the upper or lower to the AR-15 upper/lower is what makes it not an AR-15.

In case you weren't aware, there are manual action, straight pull AR-15's out there. Those are still AR-15's and prohib under our retarded laws, despite not being semi-auto.

I honestly do not think they are coming for it, not now. If Lockhart makes a single semi-auto version my opinion changes.

The only Raven models that I can find that are prohibited are listed as semi-auto in the FRT.

Go ahead and make a semi-auto Renegade, I don’t own one so no skin off my back.

I’ll wait for the angry thread when they are banned by the RCMP.
 
Just wanted to put this out there that I was completely disinterested in the Renegade before this. But I will get one just to do the conversion - my collecting interest is in odd engineering so this fits right in.

I'm currently looking at a k31 to see if I can convert it (it has been done, so I don't see why not).

I get it how it scares many here, but sorry, I don't really care if it gets prohibited down the road - what's one more at this point?

Then why are you so opposed to the people who own this product getting the conversion?
I was operating off the assumption that you owned this rifle. If you're so worried about it getting banned, buy one before it does. It's a neat toy.
