Lockhart Tactical - Underbarrel 12G Shotgun - RELEASE

Jesus christ thats ugly!
Why not make a mount for an 870, that you can attach an ar to. Lololol

Please note our system will be far nicer than the MASTERKEY shown above!

Lockhart Tactical#is proud to be quickly releasing#THE CHIEF; our Under Barrel Shotgun Attachment for many common Rifles.

Pricing:

Our pricing package has not yet been set, however our aim is to offer the Mini Chief for $800
The Chief Mount will also be available separately for installation on your current supported shotgun model.

It's a shotgun under a rifle barrel. Not sure what people were expecting in terms of aesthetics lol.

Though having it compatible with so many different rifles is impressive!

Great idea and kudos for bringing this to market.

One question though, are you sure the recoil would not rip out the rail on some rifles?

I'm in for one but would like to see some range reports and real world testing first

If you have an unsupported plastic rail I'm sure it would rip it apart.

So (it appears) it's angled inwards to fit an 11-slot pic rail and it attaches with 2 quick connects? How is the connector attached to the receiver? A bolt in the end where stock attaches and... anywhere else? The unit can be removed so the shotgun can be used on it's own with a stock, correct? Is the unit going to be sold separately?

edit: oops... should've read the weblink first. Answers some questions, but still, will you be selling the "Attachment Mechanism" separately? (along with the stock quick-connector mentioned in the link)

Thanks for this by the way, it look like a very cool product indeed and I will getting myself one.

So here is where we are currently at

1) We have plans to sell the mount on its own.
2) Right now they fit perfectly on a rail 4" or bigger.
The mount ONLY needs to have 8 slots to attach into, however 10 slots is what we recommend. It gives quite a bit more room for the clamps to properly "grab" onto.

3) Due to what these are, we basically have to get a ton of custom bolts made for us which we'll be ordering in a fairly massive amount. Haha. There are three securing bolts on the top and a very large on in the buttstock end.

Once this is on, it COULD be removed... However it's not meant to be put on and off. We've tried to price this very fairly for what it is. It should be cost effective enough that once bought, it is a dedicated under barrel.
However!!! Like we said, we're planning on releasing a propitiatory BUTTSTOCK / PISTOL GRIP combination that will quick attach on to allow this shotgun to be "shoulder" fired, as right now it can ONLY be fired when mounted to another platform.

In addition, we'll have a QUICK RELEASE optic mount which will allow you to slap an optic on the top and remove it when not needed. It will HOLD ZERO, making it even cooler!

Everything we'll be releasing from now on, is 100% designed and MFG in Canada or the USA. We are using the best parts available to us to ensure reliability, cost effectiveness and performance. We want to get you the best bang for your buck.
We're hoping everyone agrees that our price is fair on this. A lot of time goes into designing, testing, and of course MFG'ing a product. We hope this is just the beginning!

In a few months time, we'll open the doors to clients to give us ideas on what they want to see next.
We plan on staying for a long long time. We would love to have all of your there with us.

Thanks again everyone for being so patient! Let the blasting begin!

Stay tuned.

So if someone were to buy just the attachment mechanism and wanted to attach it to a shotty they already had, they would need to drill and tap the receiver for these 3 bolts. (I take it the large rear bolt is the standard bolt size used for attaching stocks or pistol grips) This isn't just some pic-to-pic adapter. Sounds solid. Looking forward to it.
