This seems to happen often enough, youtube is flooded with these videos.
Two deer locking antlers while sparring. Then eventually starving to death, or getting eaten, as seen in vid #2.
Seems like a faulty design to me. There are plenty of other species that butt heads, but don't get tangled.
Is there a reason why their antlers are shaped so tangly? A reason that maybe outweighs the once-in-a-while death?
You'd think they'd evolve some better hats by now
