I came across this information via various YouTube channel memberships. I don’t own a Longthorne nor do I have any experience with them. I did have high hopes upon learning of them years ago and found their manufacturing process (and marketing - have people standing on barrels supported only at either end) interesting.
Based on conversations and photos shared in those membership groups, it appears UK customers have experienced a fair amount of QC and customer service related issues. The extent resulted in some prominent UK sporting goods stores no longer selling them.
This particular Longthorne pictured below is apparently now on its third set of barrels due to the same bulging issue. The savvy YouTube watcher that follows shotgun and clay related content might recognize that table in the background.
