Look What Bravo Company Has....

Yes it did get interesting real quick - Paul Buffoni at BCM is one of the finest gentlemen in the entire industry, a personal friend of mine, and a sponsor of my show - in addition his company makes what many people feel are the best quality M4 style rifles on the market

So as I said - I would love to hear what exactly makes this another 'crappy' upper

I'm all ears

No the BCM SFW upper was a special request by me for the market to have access to a historically significant variant of the M4 style rifle ( almost universal use by NATO SOF ) and yet no one can procure one

Paul agreed and with some effort and help along the way from different people in the industry we ( Paul and I ) were able to bring the BCM C8SFW upper to life

For the record BCM does not supply these to Canadian or any Allied Special Operations units- not that they never will just they have not in the past

And yes One Shot Tactical in Canada is a newly christened BCM dealer - congrats !!

Hope this helps

So let me make sure I've got this straight: Deimco is also Colt Canada, which manufactures the C8 used by the CF (and norwegians and all those other NATO folk)

BCM is a US company, that currently does not supply NATO folk, but has produced an upper to the same specs and similar quality to the existing C8 rifle that is available for general civilian purchase in the US.

Through One Shot (and maybe Questar? I never know with those guys) civilians in Canada can someday get their hands on the BCM C8 upper.

Very neat.

I like the idea of getting one of those and a custom Montiuk lower with something approaching the Diemco lower stamping. I'm pretty sure thats how the C8 in the Calgary Shooting Center was made.

It's really the barrel and the BCG that make this not "just another upper". The upper reciever itself in the picture looks like it was forged by Anchor Harvey, who provide forged uppers for many other manufacturers. If you want to use the "just another" I suppose you could extend the statement to that alone.

I got a couple spare Colt marked uppers laying around that could be put to good use with BCM components. It'll be nice to see those parts coming into the country.

And just to we're clear on my comment above Larry - it wasn't directed at you :)

Bravo does have hammer forged barrels - not sure if this upper has one or not
The lead time involved to bring a hammer forged barrel into play for this upper, when Paul has
Other uppers and rifles slated to get them leads me to believe this does not have a hammer forged barrel at this time
But may so in the future

I can tell you from personal knowledge all barrels used on BCM uppers and carbines are of superb quality - I am privvy to the sources of the barrels and they are absolute top of the line

Hopefully if everything works out you guys can have a C8SFW clone of your own fairly soon !!
So stay in touch with One Shot Tactical to keep abreast of the situation

Be safe

So how does BCM compare to Daniel Defense? They both seem to be comparable?

Glad to see so many choices now.

Couldn't you have requested that the "simon sleeve" be an integral part of the barrel?
