Look What Bravo Company Has....

I figured the C8SFW upper/carbine would be popular in the great white North - I'll give Paul B at BCM a heads up to expect One Shot Tactical to be ordering some for you guys

Personally I want to shoot it to see what kind of accuracy I get out of it- barrels to weird things when weight/tension is applied at different points along its length- sometimes good things, sometimes not

We shall see

I think this is probably true - purely as a patriotic statement I think it's hard NOT to want one of these.

The fact that it's BCM is really the icing on the cake...conversely it would be quite annoying if this were produced by, say, Olympic, as it would still be a little tempting, even knowing it was an Oly.

Mr. Vickers, I don't know if you would have the time...but if you do find yourself experimenting with a C8 upper, if you posted the results here I think it would be very interesting to some of us.

Well, real C8FTHBs/SFWs/A3s shoot mighty straight so I can expect this BCM barrel to shoot straight as well if they're built about the same.

When LF/Pat Rogers swear by a rifle/manufacturer, LAV is shamelessly pushing this product and then KB says he is looking at getting a BCM rifle, who's word I could not trust more if it was handed to me by Moses carved in stone tablets, I call that a clue.

I just called OST and they don't think they will get this sorted out before Christmas, so its Questar or nothing if I want to pull my BCM rifle from under the tree like Richard unsheathing Excalibur from a rock.

Another win for CGN. Removing my post about the fact that CGN is a shell of its former self and that knowledgeable folks have up and left.

Dont like my post so they remove it and yet they keep posts about freemen/sovereign citizens, anti-police and new world order stuff.

I doubt it on the folding front site/special gas block version - I asked Paul about doing some of the special versions awhile back and the cost of the gas block on a limited run item would be rude; unless you guys can get someone up there to do some special gas blocks ( hint, hint ) my guess all you will ever see out of BCM is the standard setup

Once again you prove your ability to read without comprehension - you must practise that to be so excellent at it. At no time did I say "all AR's are equal" because that's bullsh*t. What I said was that there's a limit to how "good" a rifle you can make, and that when you're looking at two premium rifles, the differences tend to be based on things other than quality.

Good one… maybe you would like to re-read what I said a few times so you can comprehend I was responding to fireball and not to you nor did I say that you said “all ARs are equal.” I actually agree with you and was pointing out that there are also rifles that are of a lower quality than BCM and DD. It was fireball who had implied all ARs are equal…

No the BCM SFW upper was a special request by me for the market to have access to a historically significant variant of the M4 style rifle ( almost universal use by NATO SOF ) and yet no one can procure one

Paul agreed and with some effort and help along the way from different people in the industry we ( Paul and I ) were able to bring the BCM C8SFW upper to life

For the record BCM does not supply these to Canadian or any Allied Special Operations units- not that they never will just they have not in the past

And yes One Shot Tactical in Canada is a newly christened BCM dealer - congrats !!

Hope this helps

LAV

I don't know which is cooler...Darren becoming a BCM dealer for Canada, the fact that they're building a C8SFW upper or that Larry Vickers is now a GunNutz! :) Welcome, welcome! :)

No real folks use that Flip Sight anyway

I wonder if its possible to get the OPSINC Suppressor Simon Sleeve collar on one? I'm going to put one of my D marked uppers on it when I get it...

Next he needs to do some 11.5" C8CQB Uppers with the OPSINC collar and Smith Vortex OpsInc adaptors.

...It was fireball who had implied all ARs are equal…
No he didn't. You inferred that. Big difference.

To quote the mod: "So, are we talking about C8 barrels or am I locking a thread?"

I'm another guy who would love to have a folding front sight. I understand the $$$ involved though. Bummer.

Kevin

FYI; if you call Smith Enterprises you can order the correct flash suppressor for the project you are talking about - Smith Ent makes it to interface with the Opsinc suppressor - at that point you could retrofit the BCM C8SFW upper with the BCM Simon sleeve and you are good to go

I know this because I have already done it !!

;-)

So Larry Vickers and KevinB make CGN a shell of its former self?
