I fel like NEA is jumping the gun with this here. Why bother making a second firearm based on the 102 when the 102 doesn't even have a published frt yet. Hell the 102 could still get a restricted FRT and then it and this thing won't sell worth a damn.

They seem to be content selling their firearms elsewhere. I imagine that if the 102 doesn't wind up NR here in CA they can make up the sales in NZ, SA, Kurdistan, etc.

Doesn't matter what they call it if it runs on Uzi mags. Limited to 5 no matter what.
Just like 99% of firearm manufacturers,NEA make more profit outside of Canada in countries where the law isn't complete and utter bull####....and where Uzi mags are dime a dozen.
They have claimed they are making 10 round pistol mags for the Canadian market though,and its only a CAD design so far that's based on the 102's operating system.If the 102 gets the NR classification they are looking for,there's no reason,with the right barrel length this won't.

Nope. Uzi pistol mags were specifically targeted as being limited to 5 rounds as per the magazine capacity regulations. So when the gun banners cry they didn't know about the "pistol mag loophole" back when they made the mag regs, they're full of crap. Then again, the antis always have been full of crap.

Because, as mentioned earlier, the Canadian market is a tiny,insignificant little market with stupid laws,to maximize availability worldwide they chose Uzi mags,and because of looks stick mags looks better then angled mags.
You are presuming they care about the Canadian commercial/civvies market at this point.
Yeah, Glock mags would be the mass market choice for availability. But if they are dead set on stick type mags, I'd say making it accept 9mm LAR pistol mags would be the best bet in that format.

As stated several times,Mass market choice worldwide are Uzzi mags.canada is really the only place that covets the glock mag carbines because of our insane laws.
