Had A400. Just sold it. Had Benelli inertia system before it, sold it too. Now about why...
1. A400 is a sweet shooter, especially if it has the kickoff system in place. The kickoff though is one of the things I didn't like about it. The goes back and forth in the buttplate so you cannot firmly push it next to your shoulder without some strange feeling movements inside. That threw me off. Also, if you don't load your shell properly in the magazine tube (don't push it all the way through), it will fall out under the bolt and caused a misfeed a few times.
2. Benelli inertia system is good for hunting loads, not for light loads though. Jammed on me regularly. Also some type of shells they don't like. Federal in my case because of the ribbed shells. The thing is that the magazine carrier latch catches on the ribbed shell and the shell is stuck half way out of the mag causing a misfeed. Also the recoil is punishing. I had my shoulder bruised badly. I put the new KeckEzz recoil pad on it and it started jamming every second time!!! Because the recoil was not enough to operate the action.
I'm sure this has been hashed out many time but I'm very interested in see what people have to say. I'm looking at the Benilli Super Black Eagle II and the Super Vinci also I have been looking at Beretta's A400 Xtreme. What are you guys shooting and why?

I have had an 1187 3" for 6 years now and there have been no problems.
