I would think it’s a different shooter now that it’s made by Volquartsen
I would think so too.. or would I know

Nice! So what’s the verdict on them ?
Well.. I’ve only shot them once and only to get a zero on a 2” steel swinging target (minute of grouse, lol). The 12.3” barrel has a 25 yard zero with CCI Quiet 22 and the 16.5” barrel is 50 yards with CCI Standard Velocity. I’ll be shooting groups with many different Eley and Lapua ammo and a proper scope next time I go. Having said that I only bought these rifles for grouse and rabbit hunting.
Edit> Once I figure out what ammo they like I’ll be switching back to the above pictured optic setup. The shorty will only be used with CCI Quiet and the Aimpoint Micro; the longer one will probably just end up shooting the CCI SV ammo unless it like Eley or something. The VX-Freedom 2-7x33 Rimfire scope will be staying as it’s perfect for hunting out to 100 or so yards.
They’re TPS HRT 0.785” Low aluminum rings (40520-100-01).What height Rings did you go with for the Leupold?
if only you could put a can on the shortyyou wouldn’t have to worry about the CCI Quiet.

I really like these rifles so far. I built the shorty and had to adjust the headspace using the shims they sent as Volquartsen wouldn’t assemble it from factory as it’s an “SBR” and they don’t have the proper licensing for that. Once it was put together I was so stoked about it I had to get the factory 16.5” build.
I’m sure one will eventually appear in my safeThanks for the info!
