Looking for a budget entry level AR15, not made in China.

Don't laugh, but I actually LOVE my Mossberg MMR. I have 2500 rounds through it and it works awesome. I love most AR's that sport longer barrels. Plus the knurled fore-end is stickier than glue with the hands. I am gonna change out the A2 styled buttstock to an adjustable one, but that is just to "change things up". Just wanted to toss out my 0.02 cents worth. I've owned 2 Norc's (a 14" M4 and a CQ311 with the 20" barrel) and a Windham 16". Anyhow, this one is just as good as any others I have owned. (I would like to get a C.C. at sometime due to my ex-military experience, but I had to go with affordable USA vs. Slightly more than I could afford USA. Anyhow, I've been pleasantly surprised at this AR.

Under 1000$ i would buy a S&W Mp15 Sport II (900$) or maybe a DPMS if i couldnt find a S&W. Over 1000$ i would go for Daniel Defense or Colt Canada. There's a lot of options in the AR-15 world and everyone have their favorite so grab one that meet your budget, shoot it, learn it, then build your own! (But don't sell your first ar, you'll regret it)

Please let's not turn this thread into the default endings. The OP can legitimately state a criteria based on country of manufacture for his toys, AR like any restricted firearms in Canada are toys/sporting equipment. Country of manufacture as a criteria is not much different than the colour of your Nike runners that you prefer to buy.

I agree.?

That Bushmaster ORC Shooting Centre has on offer looks like a solid deal to me.

I own a PSA and Windham. Also had a CORE before (only sold it because I was too lazy to change the FSB for a low-pro gas block). All 3 are solid budget choices.

I've browsed their site pretty extensively and I've found their prices to be really, really competitive.

I haven't seen a Canadian madr Colt for less than $1,500.....Colt Expanse is a US Colt isn't it?

You should be able to find a conplete LE6920 for $1300-1500, maybe the US made Colt Expanse for about $1k?

Check my link in previous post. Bullseye London has them for $999.99 CAD

I have an oracle and for the price it's a great rifle I've run it in a handful of 3gun matches with zero issues. I have a custom build now and don't really need two black rifles but I'm having a hard time convincing myself to list it because of how reliable it's been.

Your lucky in the sense now that all major manufacturers offer an entry level AR (most under $1K). When I first got into the AR game it was $1200 + for a brand name.

Armalite, Bushmaster (Windham Weaponry), NEA, RRA and many others are good to go for a first AR and many of the supporting dealers have stock on hand...just waiting to take your money :p:cool:

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm having a hard time finding reviews for it, except a few articles when they first came out. It would make a great youtube video, there isn't much available that is informative.

I'm kinda leaning towards the S&W Sport II, but there sure are many folks happy with the Windham Weponry. I'll have to give it proper consideration.

Yes, thx as well for this review. I will hopefully pick mine up soon after putting the last of the $$ down for it. Sights, rings and want to do a review with FMJ vs handloads with it.
