Looking for a Lefty friendly versatile hunting shotgun

I impulse bought a Mossberg 535 3 barrel combo for a really good deal. Well I have to say after using it for several games of trap with the waterfowl barrel it shoots very well. Only issue I had with it was having to tighten the choke after losing accuracy after one game. Otherwise I am really happy with it. Other than shells ejecting from the right side as a relatively inexpensive pump action its worth a look. It shoots above its belt I'm a lousy shot and managed to hit 18 out of 25 in one game (emphasize in one game, 10-12 is a good number for me).

I absolutely would not buy a RH semi auto, youre just asking for issues and burned eye lashes. Used LH autos I have seen come up as little as $1,000 but normally closer to $1,500.

I'm a left handed shooter and always shoot right handed semi auto's. I've never had any issues or burnt eyelashes and I shoot A LOT.

What specifically in LH features are you looking for, as a south paw I find the only thing awkward to use is the safety if it’s a crossbolt varsity. Everything else is easier to use as a lefty, you don’t have to take your dominant hand off the trigger. Your support hand can do it all and is on the same side as the loading port.

This is exactly what I'm would have say !!!!

I was going to say the same thing. I've only put a few hundred rounds through my semi, but its a RH and I shoot left, haven't had an issue. Asena ZR7.

Never had an issue with my maverick 88 left-handed either, other than the damn safety (which is a problem on either of my guns)

Browning BPS, $ 599 @ Basspro if I remember correctly, until today. I shoot ambidextrously with rifles and shotguns. Bottom feed and eject, so no shell hitting your face. You can get a used one, cheaper, but you have to be patient to find one. Nice polished blued finish and walnut stock.

Well, the crossbolt safety is the biggest issue, unless it's a semi-auto, then I don't like the gasses blowing back in my face.
The tang safety on a Mossberg 500 is pretty good, but I'm hoping to get something a bit nicer than a 500.

Years ago I purchased a factory replacement left hand trigger group for my Rem870. Safety is where it's supposed to be.

Uncle Mike's or some company like that used to make a LH onversion safety for the 870, so you didn't have to replace the whole trigger group. I had one on my 870 before I switched it over onto my 760.

I purchased mine through Gravel Agency if I remember correctly. It is a Remington factory replacement part.

Do you remember what it roughly cost you?

Used wingmasters can be had for under $500. I would take a used wing master over a new express personally.

Not me, give me an hour in the shop and I’ll have an express running smooth as silk and still be in it for less than a used WM.

I saw a left hand 20 ga on online auction, kind of thought it was a 870 wingmaster??? But never seen one before, maybe something else.
Have you tried O/U, maybe not that great for turkey shooting, never tried that.
