^did you paint that tt black with a sharpie cause its to cold for you to go outside and shoot? :p

BTW that hubble telescope is nice and all, but 1970 called and they want thier starlight back... :p

I don't go outside to shoot.....

Starlight??? That's well before my time. I only roll out with a PVS-22 or better.

:p

Roll? Please dont make fun of the handicapped again.

BTW...did I ever tell you that when you take along time to reply to a thread...

Its not funny what you post?

:p

Newbie AR question here. Are 1/2x28 muzzle threads standard on all AR barrels? I have a LMT mrp barrel that I would like to add a brake to and I'm not sure on the threading specs.

The pics I have posted are LMT MRPs..they are standard threads

So have you noticed a considerable difference in muzzle control by installing these brakes vs. the A2 flash hider that comes with the LMT's? I have nothing to compare to so I don't know if there is a big enough difference or even a reason to swap for one of these other brakes.

Its noticeable...but the base recoil isnt anything that bad to begin with. What I do like the best about the PWS CQB one is how quiet it makes the 10.5 barrel in directing the noise forward. The PWS regular brake was horrifically loud on the 10.5, so much so that shooting it indoors verges on not doable if its a confined closed area in the range.

I would not buy a brake and expect a massive difference, its there...but its more subjective. Proper grip, stance and perhaps adding a heavier stock might give you more of what you want...but I guess it depends on what you want?

I have a PWS fsc47 on my AK, and it does a great job at reducing the muzzle climb! Makes the AK really controllable during rapid fire strings. If the fsc47 is any indication of performance from PWS, I would say the fsc556 would be a great addition to your AR15.

And by the way, it's a compensator, not a muzzle brake :p

I have the 14.5" barrel so I'm definitely not looking for something that's even louder than what I have now. With the stock LMT set-up the recoil is non-existent and muzzle control during quick shots is great. Just would like to make mine quiter.....*cough* suppressor...;)...:(.
