Looking for a quality 9mm carbine, suggestions?

I must mention the B&T APC9 in NR. It is Swiss quality all around like a Rolex.

Speaking of grossly overpriced... cue B&T products. They make the SIG look positively bargain-basement!

Opinions always vary. IMO, the SIG MPX is reasonably priced for what you get - piston--driven reliability with locked-breech operator safety and surgical precision. No other system offers those advanced features, not even the (straight blowback) B&T can compare. Which is why the MPX is considered the direct succesor to the world-famous MP5.

I agree with you on the benefits of piston-driven (AK) vs blowback (AR) reliability, which is why my AR is a SIG716. However, we are talking about a 9mm carbine. I think piston-driven on a 9mm is overkill and might actually work against an SMG. What is the firing rate of an MPX? I want to compare that with an MP5 and B&T APC.

Here are the results:

SIG MPX = 850 rpm
HP MP5K = 900 rpm
B&T APC9 = 1080 rpm

Rate Of Fire (ROF) is irrelevant In a SMG such as the MPX where the operating system virtually eliminates perceived recoil. If all shots hit the target, a higher ROF is actually desirable as it results in more incapacitating hits on target more quickly. Trigger control is the key to ammo conservation, not a ponderous ROF. With that said, I am not at aĺl sure what your intended point is/was....

Wats ur version of surgical precision ? The last NR MPX accuracy test I saw on CGN, the guy was getting like 6 moa :runaway:

Welĺ, that particular MPX owner obviously couldn't shoot. My MPX is easily the equal of the MP5 in terms of both grouping and practical accuracy. And yes, I can make direct comparisons. Or at least could, when our overlords still allowed me to discharge the Mp5....
