Hello all,
I recently purchased my first AR (a 20" Stag Arms) and I got a great deal on a free float rail forend for it today. I was originally pricing different rail systems out, but this one seemed like a great deal at the time, so I jumped on it.
I bought it from Dave's Surplus, and they told me it was a DLASK forend, last one, good deal kind of thing.
Now the thing is, there are no manufacturing marks on the rail that I can see. There were no instructions, and the only parts that I received were the rail itself (1-piece), the barrel nut (i think... it's the screw part with holes drilled into it) and a screw on collar? I'm not sure how to describe it. pics below.
Anyways, I'm looking to see if anyone can confirm for me that this is made by DLASK or has instructions or experience installing it. I've looked online and in this forum for instructions on how free float rails get installed. I feel semi-confident that I can install it without the bulk of specialised tools.
Quick question, is it still possible to remove the delta ring / install the new barrel nut without a barrel wrench / armourer's tool?
Thanks
Pat
