Hi
I am trying to find info and a value on this gun. It is mechanically sound but has deep pitting in 1/3 of the barrel. It is a cartridge gun so that puts it well past the early fur trade days and into the last part of the 1800s or early part of the 20th century. No calibre marked.
By the proofs I would say made in Belgium for the French fur trade company. For trade or for use by their employees I do not know.
Any ideas?

I am researching it for a friend of a friend who inherited it and asked me, a gun guy for info. I do not want to disappoint but have not found info on the internet so far except for a few photos.
