No, he did not say that, however he did say it in a way that implies such. Mine is lighter then that and is over 7 dry.
That's right. The pictured rifle is some pic I took off google. Owners of ATRS MV rifles report 6.75lbs for the slim profile barrel.

Yes, but it will be highly dependant on furniture selections too. No body has had atrs build the lightest possible configuration yet to my knowledge as it would involve alot of outside parts supplied to ATRS.
Maybe you should have greater comprehension before writing? I said "the pictured rifle is some pic I took off google". 6.75lbs is of the ATRS MV rifle with slim profile barrel, and obviously a standard stock. I have never said "the pictured rifle" weighs 6.75lbs.

No kidding.
I honestly believe you can get a build down to 6lbs before any sights/accessories or mag, but one would have to be incredibly picky about their parts choice to save ounces anywhere possible. I chose a combination of comfort, features, and aesthetics over weight, and I still came out at 7lbs and change which is pretty good in my opinion.

Fixed stock is slightly lighter, but that makes your rifle seem more front heavy. Balance is more important than total weight savings in my opinion.

Lol yep by my guestimation we were looking at about an 10-11 pound rifle, with the boat anchor scope/mount combo and lead filled prs!
I just got mine yesterday (thats why I am horing it out everywhere ) and as pictures without mag it is 7 pound 15 onces. And was with the fortis and without the scope, mount and 2 small keymod rail added 6 pound 10 onces. So with a fortis, light barrel, mft minimalist stock and no muzzel it is a 6.5 pound gun naked.
I don't think you can go much lower then 6.5 pound on the MV. as mine has NO bells and whistle (ambi this and that), a mft minimalist stock, hogue grip, 14 inch fortis and a temporary A2 birdcage and that yeilded 6 pound 10 onces. One could cut maybe 1 once with just a tread protector and maybe 1 or 2 more with shorter fortis handguard but not much more then that.

When someone says something is a 10s car - they don't literally mean 10.0000000000000s. They mean "between 10.00 to 10.99". I was making the same statement when I said it was a 6lb rifle - as in "in the 6lb range" (notice NO decimal places??). Had I known I was going to get heckled by anal retentive trolls, I would have put some decimal places in my answer - lesson learned. I also didn't know that I was writing to a bunch of idiots who think that the weight of a scope was included when we are advising someone about the WEIGHT OF THE RIFLE. Lastly I didn't know including some random picture (for eye candy) of an ATRS with a scope would be so confusing to you when I said the "ATRS MV is a 6lb rifle" - note: the words "with scope" is missing from that statement. Perhaps next time I shall include a disclaimer "my statement does not in any way relate to the random picture attached" for more simple minded folks - that way we can focus on helping the OP.

Lol, that's exactly why a lot of people went over to that other site that has a G an O and a C, I hope it hasn't degraded as well even though I hardly ever go over there. It was kinda boring there. It's more fun and exciting here, some days you stir the $hit and other days you step in it.
If the rifle in this last pic had an MOE stock a standard A2 grip and you swapped out the keymod forend for a carbon fiber one you might hit 6.000 pounds or at least be very close.
