Looking for precision 10/22 build advice

Careful, before you know it you will be full send!

After building one gun to go distance you get an itch that needs scratching, err, building more guns to push limits of what you thought you could do.

The center fire rigs are just as easy, but generally more expensive to put together, but the end result is even better with fine tuned home rolled ammo that you put together yourself!

Just bought a press this week haha I’m gonna try every shooting sport I can this year!

Tried out some more expensive ammo at the range yesterday, it seemed to like the sk
Nice shooting!! Your build has apparently turned out awesome. Kudos. Im going to take a guess here about the order of the groups shot with the SK Rifle Match. First five shots were the top and you proceeded one inch lower with each group finally ending at 2. Correct me if im wrong

Yes sir, you got er!
If I was you and you can secure more of that ammo with the same lot number, Id buy a bunch pal. Thats some great shooting and with a new build, your barrels just gonna keep shooting better as you get a couple hundred rounds out of it. Im a happy old fat bastxd for you. It was fun to follow you thru your journey!! Thanks

With your positive attitude and eagerness to learn,AS WELL AS THE RESULTS ALREADY PROVEN,youll go as far as rimfire can take you. I also shoot centerfire BR as as well as PRS in both rimfire and centerfire. If in the future I can help or offer advice just send me a PM. If your ever in South Eastern Ontario just give me a day or two notice and we can fire some rounds downrange or do some hunting, depending on whats in season. Ive got lots of guns and you can try anything youd like. I have lots of high end target shotguns as well. Noticed your Avatar so figured your a shotgun guy as well. Our club just put in a very nice Super sporting course.. JUST SAYIN. Accomodations will be free of course. Clean, warm and comfortable but not fancy, the chocolate lab rules the roost lol

Just an FYI about Cornerstone safety from Tandemkross. A great upgrade for your 10/22 BUT IS NOT COMPATABLE WITH KIDD TRIGGERS. I bought two and was gonna put one in my gun and give the other to a shooting buddy, NOPE the Kidd trigger is completely a different design that has its own designed safety. Two NIB will be going on the EE shortly. Bought a red and a black.

That's super unfortunate, but good information to have! I'll gladly take the red one off your hands.

I will definitely take you up on that if I’m ever in Ontario! I really appreciate the offer!

Damn that sucks! That was the last modification I was going to do for a while!

Hey there Gun Nutz,
A couple days ago I was looking through gun post and I came across a ruger custom shop 10/22 in a green mountain laminate stock and out of nowhere that sent me spiralling into a rabbit hole. That one has since sold but but now I’m itching for a 10/22. As far as 22’s go I’ve only ever had a Henry lever action so this is a bit of a new world for me. I’ve spent the last 3 days straight learning as much as I can about 10/22’s and I love to tinker with stuff (cars, trucks, motorcycles, etc…) so I think piecing one together might be a fun way to go. I’d like to build a 1/2” gun at 50 yards as cheaply as I can (for now) preferably under $1500. As of right now I’m looking at a dlask tuf 22 receiver with an integrated pic rail, a Kidd bolt, Kidd spring set, ruger bx trigger, green mountain 16.5” or 18” barrel and maybe a magpul hunter stock. But I’d love to hear any suggestions from the pros on here!
I built one last year...got rid of 2 sbi recievers for a dlask. Got rid of sbi barrel for green mountain from nine35.ca
Got rid of bx trigger for an old metal trigger with Kidd trigger kit. Used kidd springs.
With centerx and sk ammo it shoots a small hole with 10 shots at 50 yds. Its an excellent gopher gun
