Looking for Ruger parts dealer in Canada

It took me over a year and countless emails to get a few Ruger MKII parts from Location Snapshots. When the shipment arrived it had some wrong items and when I politely emailed to advise I never heard from them again. I also heard that Snapshots is no longer Rugers warranty center in Canada but don't know for sure if that's true. Good luck!

I know the Korth group is Ruger main Canadian distributor and they told me goto the Korth Group website and search for their dealer.

Korth is a gun distributor.
Snap Shot is parts and warranty.

No I talked to Korth they told me just go on their website and find one of their dealers and order from them the part you want. Because I wanted a 22/45 factory picatinny rail and I told them I don't want to go thru snap shots.

Snap shot still is the warranty center. I only dealt with snap shot once 2 months ago when the front sight of my SR1911 broke off during range session. They asked me to mail the slide over, replaced the sight and mail it back with no hassle. not sure if your experience was due to parts issue or bad luck.

Took me 6 month to get a gun replaced, only to get a new one with issues. That they just fixed good enough and shipped it to me, Rather then getting a straight front sight.

You do know this works?
as soon as you get the new one, the old one will turn up when you look for the parts that fly away on the next job.
Law of gunsmithing.

Before you go the Brownells route, give Western Gun Parts in Edmonton a call and they could probably hook you up. I got some parts for a Savage rimfire off them and they were pretty good. Telephone manners weren't the hottest, but I suspect they are too busy to chat about the weather.

interesting.
one of their listed dealers is 2 minutes away from me, ill go check tomorow and see about this.
but i suspect it will be slow to get stuff, it will have to go 3rd hand.
Korth tacks it onto their next order, they wait till they get enough for a order, order in, ruger fills it when they get around to it.
then its shipped to Korth, then to my LGS.

i would imagine my $5 item will then be costing me $50.

shame shop ruger wont add us to their international mailing list for parts.

Theyre the ones that supplies Snap Shot with parts. Because location snap shot don't even have a import/export license. Ruger told me this.

I'd be interested in picking up a set of wood grips for my Vaquero. The Hogue ones I bought are a bit off in fit. Might have to look into this as well.

Edit: Humm, from Korth's dealer search, I found a gunsmith 4km from my house! Who knew? Also noticed Golftown listed as a dealer.

Snap Shots was a bad experience for me too. Too bad there is no Ruger warranty center in Canada.
