I have tried using the search function we all know how that goes. I am in the market for my first AR 15 rifle. I had previously been thinking of buying something in the $800 range such as a s&w m&p 15 sport or a basic dpms. However after drooling over the daniel defense for a while I find myself in need of some advice. This is not going to be a rifle that will see much use. I basically want it just to join the club and add another owner to the country. However I would never be happy with it if I didn't feel it was good quality. So I have been looking at the Dd m4v5 a bit and love the design. I have also recently handled a diemaco 20" at my lgs and heard great things about it such as match grade barrel and great accuracy. I am quite mechanically inclined and not in the least bit afraid to customise things and make them my own however the DD looks just like I would want it to. Am I going to see much of a difference in accuracy out of these two rifles? Is there something else I should look into? Most of my bolt guns are now customs and I take my reloading and accuracy quests very seriously so it has to perform or I will not be satisfied. Like I said it isn't something that will get a whole lot of use but I would like to shoot from the bench and be able to ring gongs and break clay pidgeons at 300m with decent consistancy.
I am looking for whatever advice that you can give me to help me get into a quality ar that will hold its value and last several lifetimes and have half a chance at the MOA challenge perhaps.
